Viridia

An AI garden guide that reads selected garden context.

Viridia is designed to be practical, cautious, and context-aware. It uses structured Trellis data instead of pretending every garden is the same.

Context-aware answers

Viridia can use selected gardens, plans, plants, tasks, weather, and journal entries when answering garden questions.

  • Selected context is visible and editable
  • Conversation history is scoped to the authenticated user
  • Weather and journal context degrade gracefully when missing

Guardrails for trust

Viridia does not replace deterministic task generation or approved plant metadata. It should explain uncertainty and ask focused follow-up questions when context is missing.

  • No automatic garden mutations in MVP
  • No photo diagnosis in MVP
  • No invented pet-toxicity claims

Frequently asked questions

What is Viridia?

Viridia is the Trellis AI garden guide. It answers questions using the garden context you select, including plans, tasks, weather, journal entries, and structured plant metadata when available.

Does Trellis use live weather?

Trellis can use ZIP-resolved coordinates to fetch Open-Meteo forecast context. Weather helps surface frost, heat, transplant, and watering cautions, and the app still works if weather is unavailable.

Are private gardens indexed by search engines?

No. Authenticated routes, dashboards, plans, journals, tasks, settings, API routes, and AI conversations are protected and marked noindex.

Does Viridia create or change tasks automatically?

No. In the MVP, deterministic Trellis task generation remains the source of truth. Viridia can explain context and suggest next steps, but it does not mutate garden records automatically.
